Message from the Principal
Happy New Year!…We Can't wait to See You!
Fall is in the Air! The staff at your school are gearing up to see you. We are excited for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 7th! We look forward to welcoming our new students to the Home of the Hawks. It's going to be a great year at HCCS! We're all part of a great 'ship' where there are no passengers, but rather a great 'crew' who do their best to become their best for self and community.
On the first day, our students will meet in their last year's class to briefly visit and settle the excitement. We will then have students move on to their new classrooms. Students who are new to our school community will gather in the library and will be greeted by the friendly face of someone who will take them to their class to meet their new teacher and friends.
We will be meeting as a school community for our first assembly of the year after our first Nutrition Break. Please remember to pack lots of snacks and lunch ...learning needs good nutrition and energy!
Did you know...
* We have a new sign on the front of the school? Watch it for messages about upcoming events at HCCS. This great message board was purchased by your School Community Council using the funds that have been fundraised. Thank you to everyone for making it a reality!
* We have a very active and supportive School Community Council who work to support programs, students, and special events at HCCS. Please join us for the first meeting of the school year on Wed., Sept 15 at 6:30 p.m.-- Everyone welcome, childcare provided by senior students!
I can't wait to see each of you...'Cheers' to a great 2010-2011 School Year! :)
For Kids Sake,
