Welcome Spring!
The month of March sped past us right into Spring. The next three months will go quickly as we continue to fill our days with learning and school activities. Holland Chatsworth will welcome spring in many ways, including our participation at the Music Festival, our D.A.R.E Graduation, Earth Week Celebrations and our “Stepping Into Spring” concert on the 19th.
Please remind your student of safety issues that creep up on us with the arrival of the new season. A review of bicycle safety rules with your child to stress the importance of wearing a helmet and watching for vehicles is valuable. The drivers on our community roads aren’t always watching for students so they must learn at this early age to ‘drive/ride’ defensively.
Safety is a priority at Holland Chatsworth and we hope to continue to help this spread into our community. Ask your child about the Tornado/Severe Weather Drill we did at school; maybe you can practise one at home. As we say “Safety first and fun will follow!” Enjoy this renewing time of year!
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK April 15 - 21
Holland Chatsworth is very fortunate to have many individuals who donate their time and talent to help our students and staff. Our classrooms, library, fundraising campaigns and healthy snack programs are just a few examples of the areas where volunteers make a difference. To each and every person who has committed to making a difference…THANK YOU
APRIL is TEAMWORK
As you know each month at Holland Chatsworth we highlight one of the Bluewater 10 Character traits. The month of April is Teamwork.
A description of Teamwork that we refer to is:
“I can work cooperatively in a group as a part of a unit. I am loyal to my friends and I take the initiative to include everyone when I can.”
As part of our focus on Teamwork in April we will be acknowledging the importance our group efforts to take care of the environment and do our best to preserve it for the future
Our School has a Safe Schools Committee. The members include:
